PERSONAL LIFE
Freddy lives in Seville (Spain) with his wife and three children. Apart from his native French, he is also fluent in English and Spanish, and speaks a little Arabic and the Malian dialect Bambara.
An avid supporter of many humanitarian causes, Freddy established the Kanouté Foundation (Development Trust, UK) to promote causes close to his heart. The charity, which also has branches in France, Spain and Mali, opened its flagship project the Sakina Children's Village (Mali) in 2010.
